In early 2024, while painting in her small Brooklyn studio, Ariela Kanarek Zrihen ran out of table space for her brushes. Looking around, she spotted a scrap piece of wood, drilled some holes into it, and clamped it to the edge of the table.
After months of using the object, and of fellow artists commissioning one, that spontaneous solution evolved into the start of AKZ.tools
