Haley Darya Parsa (b. 1996) was born in Dallas, Texas and currently lives and works in New York. Born in Texas and raised in the Iranian diaspora, Parsa renders images that incorporate cultural signifiers—such as Persian rugs and poetry, and tulips—as well as mementos from her family archive, which constitute a visual matrix that is both legible and enigmatic to viewers, one that is permeated with care, humor, tenderness, and longing.
